Volt Underwriting Renews Enlarged Power and Midstream Binder for 2026, Adds Power Construction

London, 18 December 2025: Volt Underwriting, the MGA formed to support clients and brokers active in the energy sector, is pleased to announce the renewal and increase of its binder to underwrite conventional and renewable power generation and midstream risks. All capacity is provided by syndicates at Lloyd’s.
- Volt’s line size will increase to $50 million for 2026.
- The renewed binder gives Volt new scope to underwrite conventional power construction risks.
Volt Chief Underwriting Officer Andrew Tokley said: “Data centre growth and the growth of electrification world-wide are driving rapid change across the energy market. We’ve expanded our product breadth to support clients as they invest in and build new gas-fired generation and renewable energy projects. This aligns with expansion of our midstream offering, reflecting our view that gas distribution will play a critical role in the energy supply chain.”
Volt Underwriting CEO Chris Allison said: “We are delighted to receive this affirmation, both in our underwriting approach and in the results we have delivered. I would like to thank our existing partners, brokers and customers for their continued support. It’s particularly gratifying to welcome two new markets to the slip as we enter our second year. Volt is growing according to plan, whilst expanding our product and growing top underwriting talent. We look forward to continuing that upward trajectory as we move into 2026 and beyond.”
