Chris Haines is a seasoned marine underwriter with nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry. He joined Volt to lead and grow the Ports & Terminals portfolio, bringing deep expertise and a strong track record from roles at AIG, Skuld, and Insure London LLP.

At AIG, Chris was responsible for expanding the Ports and Terminals book while also supporting broader marine liability lines. His experience includes underwriting P&I, SRL, and Charterers’ Liability, alongside his core focus on port and terminal risks.

A graduate of Loughborough University with a BSc in Geography and Sports Science, Chris is ACII qualified and has represented the Cayman Islands in international rugby. His strategic mindset and hands-on approach make him a valuable asset to Volt’s underwriting team.
