CEO
Chris leads Volt Underwriting Ltd with a focus on setting and achieving its strategic ambitions, driving innovation and delivering exceptional client service.
Chris has over 25 years of experience in the Insurance Industry, most recently as Active Underwriter and Head of Specialty for Travelers Syndicate with a team of over 70 underwriters.
During his 17 years at Travelers, Chris held various senior positions in the business including CUO for the syndicate and Head of Power and Property. Chris started (launched) Travelers syndicate Renewable Energy practice in 2015.
Prior to this, Chris held roles as Senior Underwriter, Power & Utilities and Senior Underwriter Global Construction at Aegis, Chubb and Allianz.
Andrew Tokley

Andy has over 22 years of experience in the London insurance market where he has held several senior underwriting and leadership role.
Most recently he was “Head of Energy and Property” at Travelers, a company he joined in 2007. At Travelers, he was responsible for one of the largest Energy practices in London with his Power and Renewable Energy book of business considered a global lead portfolio. His previous roles at Travelers include “Head of Energy” and “Head of Power and Renewables”.
Prior to Travelers, Andy held underwriting positions at AEGIS, Chubb and Swiss Re.
Kevin Cleary

Kevin has over 25 years’ experience in the insurance sector, most recently as Chief Operating Officer at Optio.
During 8 years at Optio, Kevin held several senior positions in the business and oversaw profitable growth, the successful integration of multiple acquisitions and geographic expansion into Europe and the Middle East.
Prior to this, Kevin held underwriting positions for c. 17 years, predominantly working in the Financial Lines and Cyber sectors.
Highlights during his underwriting career were launching the DUAL Manchester office in in 2005, setting up a Financial Lines department in 2010 for Allied World and managing the Delegated Underwriting function (production focused) at Navigators 1221 in 2014.
